01 · Comics
(noun) a sequence of drawings in boxes that tell an amusing story, typically printed in a newspaper or magazine.

02 · Caricatures
(noun) a picture in which certain striking characteristics are exaggerated in order to create a comic or grotesque effect.
Well, that's what the dictionary said. We prefer “exaggerating the truth”. Gifts, retirements, roasts, editorial portraits and live event drawing. Some like it hot, some don't.
03 · Illustration
(noun) a picture or diagram that helps make something clear or attractive.
Picto-attraction, in other words. Character design, children's books, explainer art, packaging and storyboards. Making the real stuff look great to read, funny style.

Lee's previously syndicated weekly strip: a desert island, a rotating cast of politicians who should know better. Nationally syndicated 2000 to 2006, still very funny about things that were topical in 2004.
Lee Sheppard is the founder of Toon Studio, a cartooning, illustration and animation studio he has run for more than thirty years. He has been Deputy President of the Australian Cartoonists Association, drawn the syndicated weekly comic strip Cactus Island, and worked in animation for major studios.
These days he draws for brands, publishers and private collections around the world, working from Sydney and delivering everywhere else.
